This is genuine military 550 paracord. It has a million uses and is more useful than duct tape! It's a must have item in any wilderness or survival kit. Good strong cordage is one of the most difficult items to make in the wild. The inner strands of paracord each have a 50 lb strength, and the outer core has 200 lb strength. (Added together, that equals 550 lbs, hence the name) Some people replace their shoe/boot laces with paracord. If they need some emergency cordage, they can remove the inner strands while leaving the outer core to tie their shoes with. The inner strands can also be used for fishing, weaving into nets, making snares, used as bow string or for shelter building. Paracord can be used to make a bowdrill to start a fire, or make a sling to hunt with or drive game. Medically it can be used as a tourniquet, arm sling, splints, or to fashion a branch drag to evacuate an injured person. It can be used as a belt, “dummy cord” to keep you from losing important items, zipper pulls on clothing, hang food out of reach of bears, clothesline, a rope ladder, dog leash, etc. Its use is only limited by your imagination!
