This is a package of fatwood. Each package weighs almost a half pound. Used properly, one package will last you a very long time.
I use a saw and cut it into finger length pieces. I usually only need one finger length piece to start a fire.
I take the finger length piece, and split it lengthwise with a knife as fine as I can, and use that with a cotton ball to start a fire.
You can also use a razor knife and make fatwood shavings to use as a firestarter.
